BRIEF:
Create a web banner advert in 3 size formats using Adobe Illustrator and develop as an animated gif using Photoshop. Create animated gif in 2 different styles: frame by frame and ‘timeline’ animation.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
male/female adults over 30s interested in cultural events, intercultural communication and travel.
DESIGN SOLUTIONS:
I prepared a series of web banners to advertise a cultural event at the Sydney Opera House. The web banners are in three sizes:
- 300w x 250 px Medium rectangle
- 728w x 90 px Leaderboard
- 300w x 600 px Half page
I based the colour palette on the colours of the dancer with the red costume: red and white.
Red: R: 219, G: 4, B: 2 - #db0402
Fonts:
- Avenir Next - Bold and Demi Bold
- Avenir Next Condensed - Bold and Demi Bold
- Snell Roundhand - Bold - for the word “Stunning!”
